Focus on Youth Football
Primarily the trainings on youth football level are the responsibility of the football clubs.
A need for technical development programs exists, and NAVU has the following technical development programs:
Youth Education plan, Youth Excellence Development Plan and Youth Talent identification and National Team preparation plan.

Youth Educational Plan
This is a structural educational approach to develop the game under the youth. There are different levels where this plan will be introduced; the club, the district and the national level. The Youth Committee is in charge of the implementation of the educational plan in the region FFK and FFB. The NAVU will be in charge of the development of the Youth Educational Plan and the supervision of the implementation.

Excellence Development Plan
This plan will be focusing on recruitment of talented Youth Players. There will be training opportunities on several specific areas to develop their potentials on different levels besides the regular club level. There will be six specific areas, two on the island of Bonaire and four on the island of Curaçao.
The goal is to give youth players perspective on their career planning in football national team player. The policy of the Excellence Development Plan is aiming at the development of the future players. This will include the management and control of materials and facilities, sponsorship and financing of the games, events and activities and the upgrading of the facilities.

Youth talent identification and National Team Preparation Plan
This plan has as objective the identification of the talented players from the Excellence Development Program and centralization of the national training of the different categories: U-15, U-17, U-20 and U-23.
