According to FIFA regulations, NAVU has categorized her national teams as follows: Senior Team, U-20, U-17 and U-15. These teams participate in international FIFA competitions, such as qualification matches for the different age groups and the Olympic Tournament.Also, NAVU has a U-13 and U-11 selection which participates in regional championships and can be seen as an early preparation for the U-17 selection.  
Players for national teams will be selected from both the Curacao and Bonaire club competitions. In the senior selection, which will join in the qualifications for World Cup 2006, Antillean football players participating in competitions abroad will also be selected.The technical director of the NAVU is responsible for the policy for the national teams. Each team will be appointed a tecnical staff consisting of a head coach and an assistant coach, a keepers trainer, a fysiotherapist and a teamleader. The head coaches will be dealing with the technical activities of the different national selections.
